Hans Dampf @ 25-28 psi up front helps offset poor line choice and lack of skill for me.

    Take care, y'all.

Holy low tire pressure! I'd roll my tire right off the rim at that pressure.

No doubt! I run with my tires at max or 5psi over max. I'm less worried about my tires gripping than I am about getting there in the first place :) Climbing to Santiago Peak on tires inflated to 25 psi is my worst nightmare :)

Max tire pressure??? Holy cow the ride must be rough.

I run at 22psi, and most the people I know run under 30psi. There's a whole thread on here about optimum tire pressure with all the pros and cons, but I'm too lazy right now to go track it down. I think Varaxis had a whole chapter in there with pictures and graphs and illustrations ;)

I know EXACTLY where this is and ride that little ditch frequently, there are many other places on that hill that can bit you. I've lead newer riders up that hill several times, and always teach them how to roll more sideways through that ditch.

Sounds like a 'fully-loop' freak accident - glad to hear you're okay. Don't let anyone say anything to you about your FF helmet - heal quick and get back out there to have fun. God Speed...
