I've seen my fair share of a-hole male drivers as well. My post was not meant to just point out bad female drivers. I apologize if it was taken like that.

Man that is sad to hear. I often ride on the rode because it is part of my training, but no matter how safe I ride, there is always a chance that something could happen. Hope your friend recovers fast.

Glad to hear your friend is okay. I hope they find the arse that hit him!

I wish the law would be a bit more harsh on those types of drivers and the cops would take this stuff a bit more serious. In my opinion, any assault with a deadly weapon should be looked on as such, and cars can be deadly weapons when they drift into riders.

I have logged more moles on the road than a cyclecomputer can count and have also been clipped. It is a risk taken just like anything else we do. I have seen mtb crashes just as bad as any road crash as well.
By the way Dstepper I have been hit by a drunk mtber as we were going opposite directions on a descent, nasty crash.
Any accident involving a vehicle & a bike sucks the vehicle always wins.
Glad to hear he is ok

nope, it was just my friend and his girlfriend, she was behind him and i guess too freaked out by seeing him go down to try and get the plate.

I guess it was one of those older, silver or maybe gold colored honda accords... not too many of those out on the road, right?

Man that sucks....just as I thought I might ride to work, stories like this always puts me off. I'm nervous even on fully loop's crossings.
