I have some extra room in my cabin. My friend's family is not coming, so it is just Simon and I in the cabin. We have rented it for Friday 23rd and Saturday the 24th.

Holy Cr@p. Sorry for the short notice, but a friend and I are interested in doing this, and there looks to be more spots for the shuttle. I'm still looking for lodgings. But with so much info flying around this thread and my relative "newbie-ness", I'm wondering if I came too late to join the party? What's the recap? And how is it some peeps are going Friday and some Saturday? TIA

Not too late, start making some phone calls, #1 call the shuttle company and see if they have room. #2 Either camp or call hotels and rent a room. The actual Plunge ride is on Sunday the 25th.

Start drinking Gatorade now. the temps in Kernville are going to be in the high 90's.

I called today and it seems like they still have room on the shuttle. I need to reserve another tomorrow. Anyone planning on dipping after the ride? So far, that is our plan b4 we head home.

I booked the Sunday morning Plunge shuttle with Mountain River Adventures this morning. My friend decided to sit this one out. According to the booking lady, there's only 15 spots reserved for the 8:00 am shuttle. I was under the impression there were 25+ people going (?). Eh, I'm just along for the ride. See y'all there!
