Chorro Grande to Ortega trail September 20th

Sunday 9/20 the sun will rise @ 6:39AM and weather is forecast to be 89 or so in the heat of the day. It's more than half an hour from thousand oaks to the Mc Donalds in Ojai so 6:45 would be more realistic. So far Mike is offering his Truck and Ross has the van, we need to know how many can fit respectively. Ride time should be around four total hours and it will take an hour to safely drive from the bottom to the top.

Ideally everything would fit into a nice little agenda and we will all carpool, eat lunch, and sing happy songs around the campfire. Reality is more like an overslept, hurriedly and sloppily prepared, and constant texting to assuage "dude I'll be there in 5 Minutes" :lol:. Final details have yet to emerge, and things can change at the last minute. If you are in we will keep you updated, but if you are unsure don't expect us to wait up as this is not a Newb ride.

I may be meeting up with Todd on the way. My van has no seats in the back but we can fit a small army in there-with their bikes. I will also bring my hitch rack so we have more room inside. I believe we had 7 people and their bikes last time we did a shuttle ride.

6:45 in Thousand Oaks I can handle. I have a truck that can take 5 bikes and 5 peeps (the back seat may not be too comfy with 3 though) and willing to drive. Keep me in the loop, I'm in.

It's coming together nicely. I hear the chorro trail is pretty nice. Disco I'll share a wheel with you in the large open space of the large yellow van.

I reckon this to be splendid time on new dirt with approx 8 riders. I'll be leaving my house at 0345. I'm trying to get my brother on this one Gary p berner.

 

This ride is going to be awesome!!! But one thing I am confused on is what time are we meeting in Thousand Oaks. Is it 6:00 or 6:45?

 

0600 is the meeting time, where 0645 came from is beyond me. My number is 9514736448, name is Mike. Call me for further questions. It looks like we will be 9 riders. I ride a Haro VL.

6:00 am in T.O. means the Alhambra shuttle leaves at 5:15am. If you want to car pool, pm me for my address info.. Bring a pillow if youwant ot ride in the van.

 

Im supposed to bring a truck. Whereis Alhambra, will you have Alhambra water with you?. No ma n just kidding. If yoiu are in the direct route to the drive into Ojai, than I am willing to ride in your van. I wont be able to sleep, I'll be too amped up from my 100 mile drive from Lake Elsinore to Alhambra and the two monsters I will have consumed. 0600 Wendy Dr, Thousand Oaks, right on.
