so i rode chantry for the first time on a road bike i timed my self from the gate at the bottom to the parking lot at the top and got about a 23 MIN just wondering what some of your times are and what i should be working towards. if anyone has elevation on that i would love to hear what that is to. thanks for your help
Not to be rude, but try doing a search. This was covered a few years ago (I wouldn't expect you to know that). I can't remember the times and I haven't ridden the road in a while. I prefer riding the hills west of the Rose Bowl. I am able to get in more climbing as these hills are close to me.
for some reason search wont work on my computer and its not a pop-up blocker stoping it so if some one has a link to the old chantry thread or an anwser to my previous question
a few posters commented here http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/roadie-hangout/7236-am-i-wuss-chantry-34-26-a.html I might try it tomorrow as I live pretty close to the base of it. The few times I've climbed up there I have not had my GPS
23 min and some change today. Fresh legs from not riding all week would definitely knock off a couple minutes. That and not touring the foothills for quite a few miles before heading up Chantry would have had my legs feeling better. Guess I have something to shoot for now, sub 20 min?
me to im not riding with fresh legs or anything i ride from monrovia high school to the top but let me know next time you go up there ill join you sounds like we are about the same speed
hahaha:lol: not for me. i dont study anyways:bang:. dont worry thats a very good time for me anyways seen that i was on another one of my bikes thats not suited for what im doing.
