Just like many classic cars, even dead threads can come back to life. And just like cool classics, this is a good one to revive.

Nice to see car people here as well. In order of ownership 1) 1978 Chevy Camaro LX (slow granny gearing) 2) 1989 Ford Taurus SHO with SHO Shop Y-pipe (~245hp "sleeper" back in the day. In the early 2000s most people didnt realize what SHOs were but it was pretty peppy. I used to drop into first cruising at 25mph and the car came alive even with some wheel hop, ahaha 3) 1989 Honda CRX (Never really drove it besides up and down the street, bought the chassis and then put in a ZC but it never ran quite right) 4) 1994 Honda Civic CX HB 5) 2006 Honda Element My favorite was the civic hb because it was very fun on the race track.(Buttonwillow, Streets of willow, big track willow, Cali speedway) I love the Element though because my bikes can be put in the back no problemo. I may build another Hatchback one day. I was more into cars during college when I had no money. Life would be a bit different now that I have a job and a bit more disposable income. I'd love to build a K20 powered EG.

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 2WD and a straight-6. Has 179,000 miles on it, and still going strong. Some minor issues over the past 70,000, but nothing too expensive to fix. Great car, and my bike fits inside so I don't have to mess around with racks. Pretty decent on fuel, too. My next car, which I'm hoping I won't need any time soon, is going to be a very small, turbo-diesel hatchback (VW Golf, maybe?) that gets 35mpg or better. Diesels get great fuel economy and, if taken care of, will easily run 500,000 miles. How can you beat that!?!? :?:
I tend to hang on to cars a bit longer then some of you I see....:?: 1) 1992 Ford Escort GT (all the bells and whistles...etc) SOLD 2) 1971 VW Bus Westie SOLD 3) 1999 Ford Ranger (Bought New.. 9' lift 33" Tires...all the bells and whistles) SOLD 4) 2005 Ford F250 SuperDuty Diesel (Bought New...ALL the diesel mods you could ask for) SOLD 5) 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring Wagon (Bought New....BONE STOCK!) Current Car
Awesome thread, I believe you can read a lot into a persons personality from the cars they drive. Give me a car and ill tell you the stereotypical driver.

you are smart...I just figured out that since 1986 I have averaged a new car every two years. That includes my current car that I have driven for 4 years. Dave Ramsey would not be happy with me.

This is the first time I've seen this thread. It's a good thread to revive. I'll go from my first to last. 1) 75 Dodge Dart - This was my first car it was a total POS. The car was only 9 years old when I got it and it broke down every week. 2) 84 Chevy S-10 - This thing was POS too. This truck was only 4 years old when I got it but it went threw 2 transmissions in less than 9 months and was falling apart and under powered for a 6 cylinder. 3) 76 Volkswagon Scirocco - Real fun car. Traded it for the next car. The guy I traded with ended up blowing it up in less than a week. 4) 66 Ford Mustang Coupe - 12. second car. I loved this car 5) 7? International 1 ton truck - F'N Gas Guzzler 6) 66 Shelby GT-350 Tribute - This was a project car I started in the mid 90's. I used the engine, trans, rear end and many of the body parts off of the 66 coupe. 7) 86 Nissan Maxima - Freeking reliable. I had this car till 170,000mi. Then gave it to my little sister. She had it till 260,000mi. Then she gave it to my father, he had it for another 5 years. The Odometer stopped working at 280,000 the car was still running when he finally got rid of it at an estimated 310,000mi. 8. 95 Chevy S-10 - You think I would of learned from the first S-10. This thing had something wrong with it every 15,000 miles. If it wasn't the brakes, it was the engine mounts. If not the engine mounts, it was the trans. If not the trans etc... I had the windshield wipers stop working on me when it was raining once. I took it to the dealership they told me because I had 72,000mi on it, it was out of warranty even though I had another year. I told them "This is California, You barely need to use the wipers. Plus, what does milage have to the wipers? I have a 66 Mustang and the wipers still work on it" F Chevy!! This will be my last one. 9) 99 Ford F-150 - I still have this truck. I love this thing. This thing has been phenominal. I have 205,000mi on it. Zero problems other than maintanece and an alternator. I just got it smogged, the tech said "he has never seen a truck with this many miles on it pass so cleanly, Especially with all the mods that have been done on it." 10) 06 Ford F-150 FX400 Supercharged Ashley/Smith Baja Champions Edition - I bought this thing to replace my old truck but I'm finding it hard to let go of the old one, Even though this is a nicer truck. So for now I have two trucks. This thing is a monster! 445hp 500ft lbs torque
