Ride Report Calavera Hills_ Labor Day 2009

So I just rode Calavera Hills on Labor day. It was nice out there. Fairly crowded, but not too bad. The trails conditions were nice. The trails were pretty nice. Some loose dirt around switch backs which made a lot of the trails semi hard to ride since I am fairly new at this. The hill could definitely use an inch or so of rain to re-pack the ground and not make it so dusty. Everything else was really nice. The trails are fast, the bridges are in great shape and everyone out there riding was in good spirits. Cant wait to do it again!

 

If you live close to Calavera you might want to check out La Costa ( http://www.mountainbikebill.com/LaCosta.htm ) the climb is easy and the downhill is a lot of fun.

 

Yeah I have heard about La Costa but wasnt sure how to get there. Thanks for the info. Might just head out here today! Thanks again.
