Can I get gold nipples for Mavic 823's ?

 

yeah, they just use normal nipples. they sit behind the threaded inserts that thread directly into the rim. a bit more work to build, but you get a seamless rim.

DT gold alloy nipples would be what you want, but if you want stronger, you could go with natural brass and it would be gold-ish. wouldn't be the same as anodizing, but close.

Not yet, I just got the hubs in and need to have them built and a few more small parts $ brakes to buy then :bang::bang::bang:

Any ideas on where I can get a rear axel 12mm x 150 ? I know Azonic has one.

 

You can get one at The Path for $35 or so- it's a Hadley one from what I remember.

 

+1 on the hadley axle. path should have them for around 30-35 bucks.

I suppose you could always call up hadley too. I think they're in upland, which is a bit closer to you iirc. I don't see why they wouldn't have one to sell you.

that thing is gonna look sexy when its done. you gonna get a new fork for it? or stick with the 40? it won't match the new paint FWIW :lol:

 

I think I will keep the 40 for now I may have it blinged out a bit.#-o
