I'm liking that idea alot. Get everyone to carry horseshoes, rabbits feet and 4 leaf clovers to ward off the bad F-Loop juju !

Nice nice bike. Congrats. Hey perhaps you guys should ride the PCH beach path down at Crystal cove to the Shake Shack or even better Beachcombers (down on the sand). There's maybe a few small rolling hills, but milk shakes at the end!

Good to hear that you're healing  .... and haven't lost your bike lust! Now, all that bike needs is dirt and a rider... but listen to Sara... she'll know when your really ready.

Congrats on the new bike, and here's to a quick recovery.

Any pics of the bike carnage?

Congrats on the bike... I would not worry about the switchbacks, I have a buddy who has this bike and he is able to make the San Juan Switchbacks and i run a Mav DUC 32 on the rip and she goes around them just fine....

Now comes the hard part... patience with your healing, especially with a new toy like that sitting around

Like Jeff said, it'll do the switchbacks no prob. I had a 02 Enduro with a Super T on it and always cleaned S/J.

A friend of mine just got one of those, awesome bike BTW, and his is a large and it weighs 28 lbs. You wouldn't think a dual crown could be that light but they are! I heard the Engineer that designed the fork and shock for Specialized used to work for Fox.

You'll have many good times on that bike!

Sweet ride, glad to hear you're doing well. I'm down for an injury ride at the beach or anywhere for that matter.

I'm going to 'try' and ride the Enduro this weekend. If it goes well then I'll be down for a Fo'd Up Rider session at the beach or wherever. If you dont hear from me then better go looking!

I'm down with that. A ride at the beach sounds good. I can ride 1 handed... besides, there's not enough trail for all the injured STR riders at the loop!

Well I'm going to roll a few miles (if I can!) at the beach this Saturday. So if all goes well then Sunday sometime? The way my cast is means I can only ride a mountain bike and I can only use one brake (This sounds sketchy jsut typing it!) I was going to roll a few miles along by Huntington.
If not then I'm free at the end of the month - in fact how about a Labor day busted up rider beach ride?

Tried to ride at the weekend but its was too painful. On a more positive note the Crossmax SL's can both be rebuilt - phew!

Yeah, I know what you mean...

I rode this weekend at Santiago Oaks with the group and suffered a bit as well. I dislocated the knucle on my little finger on Friday. I tripped while running up the stairs & snapped the finger... but was able to pop back in place (Och!)and bandaid/splint it up... [-X didn't dare tell the wife as she wouldn't have been too happy about me riding next day. Took the squishy 5.5 instead of the 29er SS and still suffered on the downhills... och, ooh, ooch! Very distracting. I know this doesn't compare with yours Keith.. but still hurts just the same!

    Keep healing...
