With our first kid on the way, Linda and I want to move up to the Bay Area to be closer to both families. I also just got a job offer at The North Face, so things lined up well.

My first day at The North Face will probably be 10/20, so between now and then I will be frantically trying to get in as much riding as possible in SoCal before we take off on 10/19, all without pissing off my pregnant wife.

I'll still be around and reading STR, but it's time for me to familiarize myself with NorCal trails and meet some riding buddies up there.

It's been fun and the fun ain't over. If anyone is headed north, let me know and we'll ride.

    Blessings,

    Sam

BTW, any NorCal peeps on here want to show me around the local trails? We'll be living in Foster City, but I am willing to drive.

I do not believe we have met, but the best of luck with the move and the new addition to your family.

A very good friend of mine rides in/near Santa Cruz. Hit me up with a PM if you're ever in that neighborhood and I can put you two in touch.

Luckily my cousin lives in Santa Cruz and she and her boyfriend ride there a lot. I am hoping I can keep up with them on their home trails.

Sam, you will be missed!

And who's going to be the third pillar of beer knowledge between you, john, and I now? Of course, that does mean you're closer to the other great beer region of california, so i'm sure i'll see you up there...

Sam, best wishes to you and Linda with your new job and baby. It's been my pleasure to know you, ride with you and call you my friend. There are some trails near Pacifica that you'll love. I'll try and find the link to a video. Maybe before you go, I can lead you down Coldwater. #-o

I'll be in their advanced materials department developing the next great materials for all kind of products. It should be a lot of fun since I love the outdoors and I love chemistry/materials engineering.
