    For sale, and I can get others, is a brand new 18" On One 29er Scandal frame.

    Places in the US that actually do carry the frame, are selling near the retail of $600 (eg, fullcycles)...you can find for $450 on eBay, my price is $400 shipped. I can add carbon rigid fork, Reba, etc...for cheap, just let me know.

    Per On One: The Scandal is our new superlight XC frame, designed for covering the ground at high speed, either for fun or in one of those Marathon sort of races that people like doing.

    We’ve used a Scandium main tubes, with our own custom butted 7XXX rear triangle to keep everything light, but amazingly compliant. Headtube and BB shell are internally machined to save weight. The dropouts are fixed, welded, cold forged, lovely, non singlespeed dropouts - we could have done “sliders”, but we wanted to save every gramme on this one. This is the least-aluminium-like aluminium frame you’ll ride! This 29in x 18in sample weighs around 3.5lb.

    Rear stays - 444mm from BB centre to rear dropout in mid position of sliding dropouts.
    All frames with full gear routing, no brake bosses, slot dropouts.
    Suspension corrected for 80 to 100mm forks - a/c dimension for this geometry - 470mm + headset
    Seat tube extends 75mm above top tube centreline.

    and as an example if considering a complete 29er with a full XT kit (ie, shifters, brakes, cranks, derailleurs, cassette, and chain) would be about $1575, e.g.,

    * Scandal 29in Black Anodized (or 26er which would have Revelation fork)
    * Rock Shox SL 29 80mm Black Poplock
    * Shimano XT: m760 cranks, 2008 shifters, SRAM 11-32 cassette, 160mm discs XT brakeset, XT deraillerus, cassette, chain
    * FSA Headset Orbit X-Treme Pro
    * On-One Fleegle Bar (or Mary bar, or fleegle pro lighter bar for tad xtra)
    * On-One 3D Forged stem 80x6 Black (choice of length/rise)
    * On-One 29in wheelset with Kenda Small Block 8 tyres and tube
    * Planet X Superlight Team Saddle - Black Titanium Rails
    * Planet X Logo 31.8mm Bolt Up collar
    * Superlight Headset Spacer Pack
    * Planet X SL ProCarbon 2 Bolt Hinged Seatpost 27.2mm
    * Ritchey WCS Ergo Foam Grips

    Well..the Scandal does not come in other than black, but they also have Sand colored Inbreds (I have one) and of course there is always the new Lynskey-made 29er Inbreds, made to run either geared or SS...SS specific ones available too. May be ordering some of the Ti versions soon ;)

    I agree that it would rock as a SS...gimme 8 weeks and I have more coming, some of which will be SS options since that is when the new slot drop out Scandals come in...as well as the Inbreds a bit before then (Inbred steel 29ers currently out of stock). Thankfully, the model lineup is adopting the kick ass slot dropouts enabling the Scandal (and other model) to run either geared or SS.

    So...come 2 months I have Scandals in all sizes that can be run as SS, steel Inbreds in about 4 weeks, and currently Ti 29ers available.

    For a picture of what the dropout looks like, which works flawless, especially given placement of disc tabs, here are 2 from one of my personal On One frames
