"Hey Mike, Sorry I was not able to contact you eailier today, but I have been very busy with a bunch of stuff, Codey is going to be on the news again on Monday, I was just told today that a rep from Diamond back is flying in on Sunday and they are going to present him with a new bike at the BPPD on Monday at 12pm and it will air in between 4,5,or the 6 o clock hr. I want to Thank everyone on STR and if they still want to make donations for the up keep and for him to customize them to fit his needs that is fine OR they can make a donation to childrens Hospital O.C. in Codeys name, as they are the ones responsible for Codey's rehabilitation and there are plenty of other children like Codey that need help. Codey is unaware of what is going to happen so it will definantly be a surprise for him. Thanks Again. P.S. I still cant post on the thread. Or I would let Them all know what a great group they all are on STR, You all are amazing and I will be sure to thank them all on the news. P.P.S. any money given will go towards the bikes as well as money for him to compete in competitions because that is what he wanted to start doing but him and the family couldnt really afford it so now he can get his wish. simply AWSOME!!!!"

Not sure what every one else wants to do with money already donated. I'm sure we could hook him up with some upgrades and gear.

I would love to see a STR bmx night take place where we could meet Codey and see him on his new bike.

You're very welcome Codey. Keep riding! And remember that we can't control what other people do, we can only control our own actions. And there are selfish, dishonest people out there who steal from others, but there are also a lot of generous, selfless, hardworking people who stand up and fight for what's right and who freely give to those in need. Some day, you will have an opportunity to do that yourself for someone else and to "pay it forward".

 

Codey! So glad you are able to post on here! We will all be anxiously awaiting posts of your rides once you're back on a bike, and I really hope that you'll make it out to a ride, like the STR BMX night.

I cant wait to see my little brother back on a bike, when he is riding nothing bothers him he feels free and forgets his limitations, after all everyone is equal on 2 wheels..lol.. I am amazed with everyone on here, you are a amazing group of people.. Please let us know about Bmx night Codey and I would love to meet you all.

i'm gonna try to make it out to the pd today. will all this take place in front of the pd?

 

just got back from the pd. diamond back hooked it up. gave him a new bike and a backpack full of goodies. not sure if i heard correctly, but i think the db rep said that he could pick 2 more bikes out of the catalog. it was great just being there. let's just say he's a happy camper.
