So I know big Bear will gack at my boxxer on the front of my Banshee Scythe so I am going to get a new fork that is big bear compliant. Looking for 560mm axle to crown give or take. IMAG0099.jpg

I am thinking about a Fox Float 36, 180mm trimmed to 170, Rock Shox Lyric or X-Fusion Vengeance HLR Air fork.

I am pretty set on Air. Let me know what you would suggest.[IMG]

I never thought I'd be riding an air fork on a bike with 6+ inches of travel but I'm really liking my Totem Solo Air DH. It feels much more like a coil fork than air. 565 A2C

What? FF asking for bike advice? Damn. I'd go with the second picture...it looks like elastomer inserts...

I'd go float rc2 fit or totem solo air. I like the float, especially since it only weighs around 5.5lbs. I think at 180mm the float a2c is ~565 give or take.

Love my lyrik dh 170. Light and ridiculously awesome. Its better than my 2010 boxxer with mission control internals. Sad but true

Maxwell brought a unused Totem to the STR swap-meet that I don't think he sold.

I know for a fact that someone successfully used the dog collar method on his boxxer to get his Specialized Demo on the lifts quite a few times. Just something to consider.

Totem or Domain depending on how much you can spend :D

I actually really like my Domains...a bit heavy and lacks the more precise damping control you get with the Totem and Lyrik but can't be beat for the price.

If you're completely set on air forks then disregard but if you're not, a friend of mine as a Lyrik Coil sitting in his garage. He bought it 2 years ago, rode it 2-3 times and switched back to his Zoke 66. He said he didn't like the feel of the fork but I think he just didn't have it dialed in right. I have the fork and I think it's awesome. Anyways, he'd most likely part with it for dirt cheap as it's not doing him much good sitting in his garage.

I think you're good going with a bunch of options. on that bike, I'd say Totem Solo Air DH. it'll match the rear suspension a little better. But seeing as you've been blah about RS lately, the float 180 wouldn't be a bad call either.

If you want to go lighter, I've always had very good luck with my lyrik DH. I would imagine a Lyrik 170DH solo air would be a great fork, but I'd worry about it being a tad short for that bike. But I'm with 92se-r, My lyrik has ALWAYS felt way better than the boxxer (granted I havn't ridden the new boxxer yet).

If you get a rockshox fork, though, make sure you get the DH damping. it's totally worth it, and it performs so much nicer than the standard mission control.

the x-fusion, I've heard varying responses on. some people love it, some hate it. there's not a lot of them out there though (possibly a reason for that).

the only other I can think of is a 66. their new stuff works pretty damn well, but I'm still mildly wary.

Not to try and be they downer here but remember anything over 160mm is still not legal for BB. And yes I have seen them brake out a measuring tape. So if you are really getting a fork for BB use then I would say stick to 160mm or you may get turned away. You could get a 180 Totem 2 step or a 180 talas and drop it at the lift too.

Just picked one of those up a few weeks ago myself, I've ridden a lot of forks and this one is probably the best and weighed in at 5.7lbs uncut w/axle.
