    Some insurance will cover these and others will not. Also depends if your doctor takes the insurance plan you are on currently. I've used VSP for 4 different Oakley scripts and haven't had a problem once.

    Other option is to use flex spend benefits. Glasses qualify as an accepted purchase for reimbursement. You'll have to pay into your flex spend plan (if you have one available to you), but consider it like getting 10-35% off your purchase depending on your tax bracket.

    If you get your RX through Oakley, you actually get an Oakley lens. The Oakley RX lense has the same benefits protection wise as the sunglass lense (UV, impact resistance, etc) If you are using the frame to read or sit in front of a computer, it is is definitely cheaper to get your lenses made elsewhere and installed in your Oakley frame.
