Thanks :) the speakers are actually made by a company called Swan. They are the 6.1 Diva model. The center channel and rear surrounds are from the same series. The receiver is a Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH. At some point I plan on running an external amplifier for the speakers. The sub is an SVS PB13+ and I got it on sale when they released it last year for a pretty good discount. They had redesigned it and offered promotional pricing. The sub is a beast and was my treat to myself when I bought my house because I really wanted a bitchin surround sound setup. It sounds fantastic and really brings movies to life. It also makes me fear for my life when I play Call of Duty haha. I think the sub is hands down the best investment for a home theater setup. It definitely boosts the low end while listening to music, but not as noticeable as when you are watching movies or playing games. I have a PS3, which is great for watching Blu-Ray movies as well as streaming Netflix.

We're expecting our fourth child in September. That'll be four kids in 10 years. Does raising children count as a hobby? I sure don't have time to do much else!

    Very nice!

Swan and SVS components are definitely quality stuff. Although those top tweeters fool me into thinking they are B&W speakers(sure would like to own a set but $$$$$).

Love good surround sound systems, but I turn my sub way down since I live in a town home.#-o

BTW are you steaming media to your PS3?
I have TVersity setup on my computer at home with tons of movies and MP3s which I can stream to PS3 on demand. Since PS3 connect to TV using HDMI and my amp using optical(all digital) the quality is unbelievable! Some of the avi files even has AC3 encoding!

That is a pimp setup. The sub reminds me of my HSU Research VTF-3. You can measure its output with a Richter scale :bang: Gotta get some nice baseboards and crown molding in there next.. lol

Oh my gosh! That banana is soo freaking cute, lol. I didn't know kids still like that kind of music.
I just got a set of turntables and a mixer so I guess that will be my latest hobby. I raced in a few alley cats and scavenger hunts back in the city-that was super fun. Other than that I spend way too much time reading Art Forum and visiting galleries. Oh, plus I have been know to paint and draw from time to time.

Shoot, I was into cars up til I got into biking last September. Unfortunately I was in the middle of an engine swap back then... The car hasn't really been worked on since. Seems like the mountains are calling whenever I should be fixing my car :p

If you've never done RC combat, you're missing out. a few friends and I put together cheapy foamie slope gliders for like $50 and went out and did combat. it was nutty at times...

plus, with a modest sized lipo, you can run your radio all day long without changing packs. your only limitation was how much duct tape you have, and how much your plane will still fly with

Hobbies? Taking care of the little one and working on the abode seem to take a lot of my time. Then it's family outings - little walks, hikes, bike rides. After that I get some time on my mountain bike. Beyond that I don't have a lot of time for other things.

But I do like to rock climb and I have a kayak I haven't used in a few seasons. I enjoy reading and some hiking and running too. But for the most part I haven't done much of that in a while.
