My understanding is that there are at least a few beer fans on this little board.

I am by no means a beer expert, but I'd like to think that my tastes are a little above average. Well... at least that what the empty bottle of Stone 11th Anniversary on my desk just told me.

Recently, Dino Brown told me that Jason Mason and Brewmaster could give just about anyone a decent education on the finer aspects of our dear friend, the hop. I was a little surprised when "The Mayor" assured me that their FAVORITE beer was Bud Lite!:?: I'm new here and I've already learned that Dino is known for his smack talk, but this has gone TOO FAR.

Everyone, please tell me this isn't true, and share with the board what your favorite post-ride brew is.

The best post-ride beer for me I've found is Guinness.

Dino's fave brew is actually O'Douls.

There are quite a few of my faves out there, but here are a few: Delirium Nocturnum, Kwak, Chimay, Stone Double Bastard. If you ever see a bottle of Delirium, just get it, you will not be disappointed.

I'm not much of a drinker but I'd probably like a nice Dos Equis Amber.

    So Many to Choose...

    Pretty much anything Stone
    Pretty much anything Ballast Point
Several Oggis definitely Black Magic, Torrey Pines, & Hop Juice
Several Averys definitely The Reverend & Hog Heaven
    North Coast Red Seal Ale
Bear Hot Rod Rye & Big Bear Black Stout
    Ommegang Rare Vos

I'm sure I missed some. To you other brews I missed, you are just as important. I'm just a little too buzzed to remember you right now.

Welcome! Nice to see another beer advocate her on STR...

Stone 11th has definitely been a big hit around here (except for allison, who for some strange reason doesn't like hops...), and alot of us seem to be hop heads. Things like Stone IPA, Green Flash West Coast IPA, Racer 5, all tend to be favorite post-ride beers...as we speak i'm sipping a Stone 11th anniversary! Tough to say what all my favorites are - i did have a great porter last week from FiftyFifty brewing up in Truckee last weekend...

Are you heading to the strong ale festival this weekend at pizza port in carlsbad? If you've never been before I'd highly recommend it - 40+ beers, all over 8%, for 12+ hours, with all kinds of beer advocates hanging out, pouring, and enjoying goodness...mmm...wish i could make it...

    Amen!

The plinys (older and younger) ain't bad either...

Nothing beats Stone Ruination double IPA...

except Stone 11th Anniversary black IPA (if the day you are riding is cold weather or a night ride).
