I have been 29'r curious since the Spec Enduro 29'r was announced. This goes against everything I stand for to buy a 29'r or big brand name, but if you are going to break some rules you might as well break all of them! On to the pics

They stay young for just a short time...

She was 32.5 lbs out of the box but all kids loose a little the first day

My baby is growing up so she needed some glamour shots!

Kids are always getting into trouble. Here is the mug shot to prove it!

I still have my HD which I rode this afternoon. I am going to wait to make comparisons until I have some additional playdates with the Enduro. I did some upgrades before I even went for my first ride. The short list is Haven aluminum wheels, KS Lev dropper post, Hans Dampf up front with a Conti 2.2 MK Protection in the rear tubeless and 1x10 conversion with a RaceFace narrow wide chainring. The wheel/tire combo is very similar to my HD where I have Haven carbon's with the same tires. I am trying to reduce the variables so that I get a very good comparison of the two wheel sizes.

Here is a pic of my current HD setup for comparison

    Congrats on your new bike!

I'm very interested to hear your opinion on the differences.

One thing is, there is quite a bit of difference in weight between the 26 carbon and 29 alum Havens.
I calculate over a pound of additional rotational mass on your enduro if you include differences in tire weights.

Based on recent posts I thought I would get banned without it.

That sounds about right, but I was not going to spend the money for Haven carbons yet. It is as close as I could get on my budget and I like true UST wheels. Plus there is always going to be a significant weight difference between 26 and 29 wheels for the same strength and traction.

For the best bang for the buck the enduro carbon wheels that specialized has are pretty damn good and it goes good with your baby...and at $1650 a set you can't go wrong with thats
