Those of you who live or have property up there probably feel differently, but i'm just not very enthused to ride up there the way things stand. They who run the lifts do not have a positive attitude towards MTBs; i've seen it firsthand each time i've been there. Also, my Uzzi violates 3 of the 4 conditions for lift access.

Although I love riding Snow Summit, i've no plans to make the long drive there until when/if things change for the better. There are just too many other great places to ride.

To all of you riding up there this weekend, have a GREAT time and be safe! :)

Just a little trail update. I've been up in BB all week. Weather is perfect, low 70s.

Pirate's: Couple of downed trees. Easy go arounds.
Upper Fall Line: Downed trees. Go Arounds/overs.
Lower Fall Line: Clear. Rutted and rocky but easily doable on a XC bike (I ride a 5" bike and have no problems).
Upper Pine Knot: 2 Downed. 1 ride around, 1 lift over.
Lower Pine Knot: Downed trees. 2 requiring walk arounds.
    Trail "89": Clear

Just an FYI, If anyone is worried about their bikes, it is a pretty easy ride up 2N10 to the top of Pirate's. Probably takes about as long as the lift.

If anyone want's to do a little longer "tour" of the local trails, let me know and we'll set something up.

The stuff on Pineknot is going to require some serious work.

The stuff on Fallline would just take a couple of minutes with a chainsaw.

Any locals with a chainsaw want to do some work? Figure the Forest Service won't be doing it anytime soon.

yeah, I could probably manage that. won't be up for a few weeks though. got school to deal with the weekend, don't wanna deal with crowds on memorial day, so that leaves the weekend after :?:

sounds like it's on eh? are we going to require helmet cam proof? that's what I wear (aside from the previously mentioned FF helmet). clips rock

Is Pineknot still a ton a fun, despite the downed trees? We were planning on heading over to that side of the mountain on Sat.

Nah, I think a Garmin will suffice for timing but I do have a helmet cam I could wear.

Do upper Pineknot then finish down "89". The downed trees on Lower are a pain.

I built a bridge over the first downed tree on Pirate's. The rest are going to need a chainsaw.
