You won't know the actual cost until you get home. Meanwhile release the hostility by shooting out all the red lights.

I wish I could kill all the red lights....I work in brea and live in RSM....I hate commuting. When I get off from my stressful day at work the last thing that I want is a bunch of road bikers in my way keeping me from my kegorator....A 30 second hold up will cost me drinking one more ice cold beer for the night before I have to wake up again to HELL.

A bob trailer is a great idea. You could maybe drive half way and then bike the rest. 10 miles or so is a pretty good distance. Something like a Kona or surly Hauler bike would be awesome.

This one even has a battery assist if your load is particularly heavy.

Ooh or maybe an extracycle to your existing MTB

May I suggest therapy or a new job? :?::?::?:
From your post you really need something much more potent than your kegorator. Also why is it other people's fault that you wake to HELL?:-k

    Just saying...............

You know, normally I'd go for roadie-hate...but i do it as a joke.

Besides, I've never understood people that rush to get home after work. "Arrgh, stupid f*%king traffic! I HAVE TO GET HOME!" And then...what? Sit on the couch, eat taco bell, drink beer, watch tv? You want to rush home for that?

Eh, do what you like. Just don't run over any roadies on your way to do it.

Cars are the reason it takes you so much time to get home, not bikes. You don't have the capacity to realize that? In animals, we refer to that as redirected aggression.

Yes cars are apart of the reason but I take the canyon home and there are road bikers all over the canyon. Its not out of the ordinary to see some weenie in spandex hogging up the lane. BTW: I would never intentionally hit anyone. I will get on my PA though and tell them to get the f*** out of the lane.

    It all makes perfect sense.
The guy riding is pedaling, dealing with the elements of weather and terrain, while you're in a climate controlled environment, powered by a couple hundred horsepower... "get the %&#*@ outa my way"... sheesh.

They can pedal and deal with weather and terrain IN THE BIKE LANE. When they enter my enviroment (My Lane) I have no problem yelling at them.

Your failure to see a roadie as a fellow cyclist, and thus cutting him some slack, is the meat of the whole "Sad state of So Cal" thread (blame others).

I'm not a roadie, but common sence tells me a 175lb. bike rider vs. a 3,000lb. SUV, the outcome is obvious.
The few times I have rode from Carlsbad to Downtown Sandiego and back (on my MTB) scared the beeejezus out of me.
At least in the dirt nobody is going to open a car door on ya.

Next time your looking for help don't be surprised when no one responds?

Also can you please post your pic so we know who not help on side of the trail? I would hate to not help anyone riding a mongoose teocali thinking it might be you.
