Anyone know the "typical" alloy used in alum. steerer tubes?

    Anyone know for a fact? Thinking about modern tubes, aluminum only. 6xxx or 7xxx ? I've heard that 7075 (high zinc) is pretty standard, but I can't seem to determine if that's a guess, opinion, theory or fact.
