I've had 5 weekends now that I've done a century, I'm doing one this weekend and I need to do two more before Poway. I'm going to do 10 weekends in a row with a century.

If I wasn't using this ride as a training ride I would live to attempt it on my fixie. If I do Tour de Palm Springs again this year I might do it fixed.

I'm planning on doing the 100 miler. My friend is planning on that one too. My bike is ready to go and have tuned it up recently.

I could not find the 2008 route on Bikely so I created my own. I noticed one error on the route slip on the ride site. Also there could be errors in mine so make sure to keep a copy of the official route slip provided.

    http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Tour-de-Poway-2008

From this route you can see an elevation profile and get your own cue sheet under the Show menu.

Damn! I finished in 6:20, 20 minutes slower than I wanted but I was in the hurt locker at mile 80-90. I did run into carlh on the climb up Poway Grade(see posting you bike will get you noticed)

I was making killer time with a really fast group and my climb dropped, I never could catch them w/ all those damn stop lights. I think I hit every red light today, boy they were pissing me off.

    Ah lovely day of pain!;)
It was awesome I have to say. Picked up Jay and on the way over we thought it will rain because of the ugly cloud but it didn't!

Forgot my sunglasses, camera so sorry no pictures.

GPS did not track till few miles into it so the talle is around 99 miles and 5345ft of climb. Last 20 miles the pain really kicked in and close to the end the salt at the bottom of pretzel pan finally kicked in so I at least finished with dignity.

Roll time is 6:01 minutes with stops at every free food station....but of course.

    Jay you killed it today!!!!!
