Thanks for the offer, pm sent. Got a question: How do you delete a KOM who has flawed data? Like this 78MPH rider http://app.strava.com/segments/965765
    .
And why would anyone post their ride on a stationary bike??:?:

If you are using Strava to track your ride time/distance, wouldn't you also want that included? It's still training.

But cant you make that "private" and still be included for your own data?

It's a sickness... we call it 'Stavitus'.

You can tell when someone has been infected... riders who are normally laid-back will suddenly attack in areas of known Strava segments.

I personally enjoy looking at how those who are much faster than me are training. A lot of times, (especially this time of year) some of those rides are on the trainer. So I appreciate the Pros who post stuff like that.

Strava borderline addict here. Not so much to the level of only riding solo or going hard in certain sections as I've been mostly doing base so far. But i do like to see where I'm at when i do decide to go hard on a ride or an area. One of my riding buddies asks "You going to STRAVA this?" Anyways a really cool tool especially since i didn't care for the Garmin format. I do have to admit that i input my rides fairly quickly once finished and like to see how I did on them. Also i put in trainer sessions and don't make them private well because that would take an extra 30 seconds to click a button, and i don't think the 5 people that are following me really care to much. See you guys on the trails or the net.

I started with Geoladder and thought it was fantastic. Finally got a decent Garmin and uploaded to the Garmin Connect. Was really happy to see my heartrates and other data about as accurately as its probably going to get, but, missed seeing my rides play out on the map together and where my climbs where in comparison to those previously. Since, i really only compare to my own rides, this was great. Now i have found Strava. I can see with segments how my rides were and compare them to past rides. I don't have to compare an entire 17 miles anymore. When you only get out once a week, i find i spend a lot of time waiting for my next ride to try and get a PR. Its a great motivator for me since i ride solo 95% of the time.

As for the STR group, i haven't even thought about joining them. I think i would hurt their overall statistics. LOL.

Strava just released Android App V2.0. Haven't used it on a ride yet, but appears to gives access to much of the website info on your Android phone.

I used the new Android version today and liked it. It seemed to link up to gps slower but it worked fine and had more features than the first version.

Is any of you these guys?

    Nir Tal
    Rob Clouthier
    Steve Weston
    Colin Stufmann

? These are the people that are faster than me at Squirl cage. Nir has a sub minute result and then the rest of the top 5 of 77 people are between 1.09 and 1 minute 18 seconds which is me. I'm coming for you;)

Thats one issue with Strava... why do ppl create a segment thats only 1 minute? If its downhill, thats another story. But, a 1 minute climb better be pretty steep to matter.

I have a 1 minute climb segment that I use for intervals. The segment I created is private but I have used many others. The giveaway is the repetition of the segments. We do a lot of 1min, 90s, and 2min climbing intervals. I agree, if it's just a 1 min climb because someone that it was bitchin, it doesn't matter.
