The park is open now, anybody ride today?? Was thinking of maybe doing the geoladders 'Aliso Tour', but not sure how dry Meadows is, I know it can stay slick for a while. Any info appreciated, thanks.

Just got back, Meadows is in great shape, no mud or slick spots. I went down it twice today but the conditions are great for climbing too.

Just finished. Trails are in great shape. I did not ride Meadows. Went up Matthis to TOP, around the top of Telonics (someone already did some trail maintenance up there), down Lynx, up Cholla, down Rock-it and out.
Nice to be on the FS again.

started my ride around 2:45 today, went up the streets to the top of cholla, over to TOP and then over to meadows... meadows is in great shape except that people keep cutting the freakin switchbacks! learn how to ride and control your bike on the turns, they're freakin banked for heavens sake! anyhow there was one totally obvious cut that went straight and down there the actual trail goes slightly left and then into a right hand switchback. i stopped after the switchback, climbed back up the trail and placed some dead branches that i found around the area in the path of the cut trail... i'm not sure if it will stay or if someone will move it, but the trail cutting needs to stop... vent over!

i continued down meadows, over to mathis and was able to clean it on the IH! it took about 25 min to get from the start of mathis to the start of Rock-It.. rock it was in good shape, went out coyote run and back to Milf park by 5pm. the trails held up pretty well, just a few muddy spots

I could only dream about doing that on the 29er SS. My tow rope is ready to hook on the back of your seatpost Foo, so you can pull me up Meadows.

I can stay in the middle ring on everything at Aliso, but clearing Matthis and Meadows on an SS is a different world. Makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it.

    grasshopper....

You can do this too! Mathis is very doable on a SS... it's Meadows that is the bitch... there are 2 sections that are just beyound me on the 29er SS (34 X 22)...Looking forward to riding with you again in the near future.

The trick to Mathis (I think) is it starts off steep and gradually lessens by the end, so hit it 1x1st or 2nd gear at the bottom, take advantage of the 2 downs by middle or big ringing it to get some 'mo up the other side, and hit it hard up top. Zoom!

Aliso is in killer shape right now, tacky and fast!! Meadows is great, no mud. If you straightline anything on Meadows, you are missing out on some great high speed bermed turns, who in their right mind would turn that down??
