Thanks for sharing the amazon link. I always thought that a mini generator is actually more expensive. I do not have an air compressor because when I needed one I always used air compressor rentals. Now I am definitely thinking about buying one because this offer is really cheap.

I have been using my Senco Compressor for 5 years. I mainly used it for RC Car racing, but has also found a home for my biking needs as well. It's 20 lbs, 10" tall and can blow up to 120psi. IT works liek a champ and you can find it at some places for $99.

Hi all - I'm getting a little tired of bribing the guys at my LBS with beers every time I need to have a UST tire seated in. Started looking at Harbor Freight at >= 150psi 110vac rigs. Anyone have recommendations for a small air comp? Not looking for huge volume tank, just enough to seat a UST tubeless, occasional car tire top off, etc. I really can't see any 12vdc comps doing the job but keeping an open mind. Once I see what works well then I'll worry about price.
    Thanks for any guidance

If you want to save some money and don't mind going to the station now and then to refill it, you can get by with just the tank and no compressor.

Since buying a Lezyne floor pump I have not needed to use my compressor.

My lezyne aired up my tubeless no problem either. Didn't have to pump all crazy either.

I considered an air tank but I didn't know if the gas station pumps would fill it up.

A paintball or scuba shop could fill a tank for you, as well.

Nice. Have not tried a floor pump yet. Do you have to remove the valve core? Do you have rubber rim strips or just yellow tape or duct tape? I have several wheel/tire combos tubeless [various brands as well as 26er, 650b, 29er]. I've noticed variations of the above combos make beading easy vs difficult even with compressor.

If you just go with a tank, you don't HAVE to go to the filling station to fill it. You could fill it with your floor pump.

I prefer to use a non-locking ball chuck rather than those filling station type air chucks because they flow more air. Those monster filling station type chucks usually have about an 1/8" hole to flow air through and that little ball chuck has a much bigger hole. The biggest comprerssor in the world will still have to fight to move air through a 1/8" hole.

Thread a presta-schraeder adapter on just far enough to seal on the presta stem and press the ball chuck on. . . . voila!

I am another (satisfied) small Craftsman air compressor owner. I have had it since 1993.
