Jeff and I had pulled out of the Path at about 845-9 pm and were heading east on First.... when "happy f*%$#*ing idiot couple" decided to make a left turn from the FAR right hand lane to go shove their faces with McDonalds. It happened so fast that I couldn't even hit my brakes....and I nailed them HARD. The police report will reflect the obvious...but my car is in bad shape. My arms are really scuffed up from the air bags, Jeff is okay since his hands were down. I'm pretty depressed about the whole thing and keep thinking what I could have done to prevent it...obviously nothing but it still bums me out.

Thanks to Dino for coming to check on us twice... it was a crappy situation for sure.

Wow. Crazy. Do you drive an Element? I saw an Element getting towed away down by the McDs.

Glad to hear you're not seriously injured and can tell us about it today.

Glad to hear you are both good, hope your arms get better real soon. Julia and I drove by and saw you and Jeff and your car being towed. We returned to see if you needed anything you two were gone.

Hope you get your car back soon.

Sorry to hear about that... hope you are OK. Black cars are hard to see at night. Dark Blue and charcoal gray ones too. PIA to keep them clean also. Everything shows, including swirl marks and dust. I used to enjoy pride of ownership in my cars, but found it a losing battle here in So Cal. Everyone else f*cks with your car when it's nice. They key the paint or put dings in the door panels because everyone is in a hurry and thinking "me, me, me". If I drive a POS, they leave it alone, plus then I don't worry about it or stress out if it gets dinged or scratched. It's just transportation, it's no longer an extension of me.

Considering that Mickey D's chemically engineers their food to enhance it's addictive potential, all locations should be considered dangerous. Seriously though aside from the obvious discomfort I hope all those integrated safety systems did their job and kept either of you from serious injury, get well soon.

I did see the Element driving home from the Path. The car can always be replaced, but lives and body parts can't. I'm thankful that you and Jeff are ok. Get well soon!

First, I'm glad that everyone is apparently OK, and I hope any bikes you may have had with you are also alright
    ;)

This adds a whole new meaning to all the pre-sale posts that said "The Path sale is dangerous to my wallet!" Good luck getting everything fixed/replaced.

I have heard of some people creating excuses to get out of going riding but Damn... All you had to do was not wake up in the morning;)...

Sorry to hear, I hate accidents especially when friends are involved. Good to hear that everyone is ok, a car is a car and can easily be replaced, no worries there.

If you guys need anything let me know

McDonald's is the devil. Causes people to act irrationally. Good to hear you all are all right. Hope to see you back in the Saddle soon.
