Hey all Just wanted to get started right as i havent done any serious trail riding or biking since I lived over seas. I did a small amount of riding when i lived in hawaii but not enough. more like getting to work and campus. I would like to start riding again but am having some trouble picking out a bike. I have been scanning craigslist hourly for a decent used bike but havent come across anything promising.

I am currently out in the desert (palm springs area) and would like to start riding before it gets to hot. lol. i mean before my tires melt to the trail...

I havent had to buy a bike in about 8 years and the lingo is leaving me a little dazed and confused:-k. I am pretty sure that Ill eventually find a decent bike but any help in the mean time would greatly be appreciated.

I look forward to hitting the trails with you:bang:.

    thanks all.:drunk:

What kind of riding do you like? Mostly climbing? Downhill? Jumping?

    What's your budget?

i like it all as long as i dont kill myself in the process. im rusty and outa shape so the more i can avoid up hill the better haha. not to into jumping but if its on the trail i wouldnt mind giving it a shot:bang:.

im looking for something sheap that i can beat up and build on so a decent frame would be ideal. maybe $300-$500 to get me started. upgrade next spring. but if the right bike comes along im not gonna say no.

im 6 foot 2 or 3 inches havent checked in a while. lol.

Welcome!...Hey check out that Blue Santa Cruz Superlight that is listed on here. A little more then your looking to spend, though good price. But if you can get the cash together, that bike will serve you well for many years/rides.
