Can we make a rule here on STR that anyone selling something in the market place forum must list an asking price or starting price for their wares? Just my feeling. We get a lot of people selling stuff that don't post a price. It's kind of hard to even start a discussion if you don't know the seller's expectations.

"Make me an offer" is not really a true price since most people have at least a ball park in mind of what they want to get.

I could link to many ads as examples, but I prefer not to single anyone out.

I know what ya mean, but it is their ad. Just fire them a PM to see what they are asking.

All good ideas for sure. I just feel like we should cut to the chase instead of PMing or lowballing people.

I would say 51% of the members on here ignore you but then that excludes me since I just commented on your post...I hate Catch 22s

I like make offer adds myself. gives me one shot to "low ball" it eh.
Also when (keep this in mind folks) I post a make offer ad I'll pretty much give it away. I'm more trying to have fun with the sale then making any money. I just like to wheel n deal and or horse trade.

    Some folks

maybe do not know what stuff is worth. I have seen some really high asking prices and some blow out deals on this site. Duno:?:

But then again taking a bunch of offers on a used pair of gloves is:drunk:;)
