That was my RIP getting the Pike upgrade. I get 4 7/8 inches of travel before the top out clunk. Going up, over, and down all the curbs on my block things I could find...so far very nice.

Craig, The Path did get in some 120 Manitous today. Black Lowers Quick release, White Lowers Tru Axle.

San Gabs tomorrow, but I already know it is better than it was. I also put a 5mm King Race on there to slacken the steering more and gain more pedal clearance.

No extreme goating for me. We got something else in mind. Wondering when Watermean and Burkhart will be ridieable?

Nothing wrong with the stock Reba, used it for 9 months without any problems. Are there better forks out there...Yes. I am waiting for the Pike 29er, until then the Reba/Pike will have to hold me.

so you use a pike spring assembly?

does this replace the right side lock out function? or does the u-turn spring setup go on the left side?

basically... can you keep your remote lock out with this setup?

The Pike Spring goes in on the left side, so the lockout is not affected. Follow the MTBR link in the first post and there is more info about it. It wasn't too hard, but I did get a lot of oil all over when I did mine and then again when I did Onlyontwo's. Doh!

Yeah, we did make a mess #-o The coil conversion is nice, but the longer travel makes the fork more flexy. It does ride like butter tho...:bang: Saving my pennies for the 20mm new Reba.

    Cheers,
    Andy

It's just the axle ends. You can buy a set of axle ends for about $25 and replace them with just your hands.

    Hick-up

Has to take my fork back to The Path for some more TLC............It was getting long in the tooth so they need to do a few more things to it.

Should have it back Friday or Saturday and plan on riding it Sunday (San Juan) with the STR crew:)
