Love the introduction. You're gonna fit in just fine. I sure hope they don't find a cure but having kids seems to slow the addiction somewhat. Marriage will slow it a little but after 6 months or so you'll be back on the bike and just as addicted as ever.
My marriage only fed my addiction. The honeymoon consisted of daily rides in Mammoth. I believe Lee and Ko had the same problem in Whistler. Addicts only feed addicts. Oh, and welcome from HB!!
Love it Rachel! - mine doesn't get why I'd rather go to Mammoth than Napa, you can only drink, eat, drink, eat, and drink and eat some more without a ride or two to burn it off (that 'other' calorie burning exercise is just for strength and endurance training ) Guess you can see the addiction problem pattern here....
Thanks for all the warm and funny welcomes! I knew this was the right place.... Wish I had time to go through all these and add a few witty remarks...but I'm gonna be in Sedona over the weekend...unfortunately detoxing if the rain doesn't let up...
*reading off a crinkled piece of paper* The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club. D'OH!! Wrong greeting. Sorry. Welcome to STR. :bang:
True that. My boyfriend was my pusher. I have only him to blame for my addiction now. A hard tail on a simple single track was my gateway drug. Within a day I was craving the harder stuff. Inside of 2 months I was up to 3, sometimes 4 times a week, bought a full sus bike, and was hemorrhaging money to feed my addiction.
