Man, I'm really sorry to hear this. Must be tough for someone whose addiction is worse then mine. But on the good side you've lived to ride another day. Sending the healing vibes your way.
Healing Vibes That sucks, I hope you insurance covers all that for you, take it easy & come back when your BODY is ready!
Best Wishes for a quick recovery Pacman! Thanks for all the friendly quick responses on the main message board on Geoladders. Road, Dirt or Snow we are all very fragile and things can happen quick, but we gotta do what we love or why live at all.
How ya doing Caveman, err, Abui? Just wondering how your getting along. Miss seeing you kicking butt on geoladders.
(Just saw your request.) The fleshy bits are looking good, even the scabs are gone. The injured hand is working and getting stronger. I learned a new appreciation of being even mildly handicapped. Doing everything with one hand is tricky. The neck is healing but I'll have to hear a doctor's advice on what I can do. I hiked a local hill with friends who had expected to stay on the flats. No problem except when I lost traction the body would auto-correct and use some neck muscles without thinking. The result was a little discomfort but I'm sure every day there is less of a problem.
Better late than never I carry a GoPro when I'm not carrying something better. I had it the day of my road crash and let someone take pictures in ER. Afterwards there were no pictures on the SD card. Yesterday I had the GoPro on a ride and took some pictures. When I got home the SD card wasn't there. I checked the internal memory and found the old ER pictures. As of today the SD card won't lock in place so from now on it's always 16mb internal memory. :?:
