Anyone been up Holy Jim after the rain? We were thinking of riding it next week, just wondering what it's like right now. Actually I'm a bit more concerned with Trabuco Creek Road, is it too nasty to ride up?

    Thanks!

Live Oak from Cook's to Trabuco Creek was still closed as of yesterday morning as was Plano Trabuco from RSM to the wash. Too much water still draining out of the canyon. Hopefully by mid week it'll slow. More rain in the forecast for Wed. That road is county till you get about a couple miles in, then it's CNF. I'd check with CalTrans to see if any roads are closed before heading out. The last press release posted on another thread was PR-13. The latest is PR-14, but the link isn't working right now. http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist12/

The creek by Trabuco Wash was still raging when we rode through Live Oak, and the street up to the Joplin Youth Center was a muddy mess. Locals were trying to clean up the mess. Not sure about the wash to HJ, but the creek has rerouted itself and it is still pretty deep.

Checked out Live Oak to see if you can get to the wash. It's open and you can drive from Cook's to Rose Canyon, but that's as far as you can go cause there are barricades on the bridge.

Lots of debris on the bridge.

The creek is still flowing pretty good so I can only imagine what the creeks are like in HJ and Trabuco Canyons as well as the crossings on Trabuco Creek Rd.

Thanks for checking it out, Gene. I'm not going out there with that kind of water flow, imagine how the water crossings must look O_O

More pics just came in. Trabuco Creek is pretty bad. Access to HJ, WHT and Trabuco not possible till water levels go down.

Wow, it is perfectly legal to drive a four wheel drive in there if one desires?! I'm thinking F.U.N.

A winch and a pull-pal enroute via capable 4X make it provocative to say the least!!!!! F.U.N (my former version of it)
