Recently switched from riding clips for the past 16 years to flat pedals. Do you see where this is headed? After some more challenging runs my buddy and I decided to do some pedaling on some more flowy trails. I went to pull a tiny bunny hop over some small rock field and my foot came off and the pedal decided to give me a little gift...7 stitches. The best part is that I just started wearing knee pads but no shin guards. Lame. I'm curious if anyone is rocking separate shin pads from their knee pads. I just picked up some cheap soccer shin pads but now I'm thinking I should of just got some thing different. #-o What you rocking out there?

Tough break man. Any pictures? I ride in blue jeans with no shin pads. Not the smartest but I have been lucky with not slipping any pedals recently. When I do, just the little padding of the pants seem to help. Welcome to the site. Im in long beach also. Where you riding at?
