    Room for 2 tents

I reserved site #125, it’s a large site that goes all the way back to the creek. I’m bringing my camper so the site has room for two tents, just let me know and the tent area is your’s.

I had a great time last year, looking forward to the group rides on the trails again.

Having never been to Hurkey camp ground. Can someone who has been there give us virgins a description of the camp ground, ie, are there BBQ's, picnic tables, fire pits ect.

Any chance of getting in a night ride on Friday or Saturday?

    Thanks

For a county park it is very nice, most of the sites we have taken are in the pine trees. Campground is a couple blocks from the Sherrif Substation and the park is patrolled well, so it is not a rowdy croud...more of a family type park...so it is a quite campground until Neil shows up. They have fire-rings with a grill and picnic tables. Firewood can be bought at the campground or better yet buy a wheel barrow or two from the ranch you pass on the way up. Bring quarters for the hot showers. Don't worry to much about want to bring as the Hemet Lake General Store is a bike ride away. They have a deli and sell Fat Tire and ice. Some thought it was very cold last year but I did not think it was that bad.

Night ride on the 24-hour coarse is a excellent idea.

Ill take a tent spot. I requested Friday off and planned my weekend free without the kids. However I would not mind bringing them, but I would need someone to watch them during rides.

    Gregg -
I should have plenty of camping space at my spot. I'll be there with a small 2-man tent and maybe DavidB as well with a tent - so you're more than welcome!! Site #115 - I'll be there probably Thursday night thru Sunday.

You are right, I thought I did it for two days but I only did it for one night...fixed thank you.

    Dean

IMO: It is much colder slepping in a car than in a tent.
