Okay here is the first Black ANO G-1 to come out. They are doing Blue and Silver also.

It is also 1.5 LBS lighter so mid 38's easily with real DH parts.

8 the 11 is 2x the cost, wider, but that will be in trail bike when it launches.

Dang. I'd like to give that a try. No derailleur. How sweet is that.

What is the wheel path like? It looks like it goes back pretty far. Is the wheel path centered around the alfine? (Edit: I now see the chain tensioner)

How would the chain growth affect pedal feedback? Is it isolated?

How does this design affect braking and susupension movement?

There is 0 chain stretch 100% active! There is very slight squat I didn't notice draggin them 1/3 way down Tunnel so thats saying alot....
The net growth is just over an inch it's 16.6 static and is about mid 17 fulled compressed. Follows fork almost exactly.

I have been running a Alfine on a bike for a couple of years and I love it except for the weight. It is going on a bike packing bike I am working on.

I'm assuming you can put on the size of cog(s) that best fit your riding. So you can move the gear as a whole up or down a bit?

Yeah he includes a 21tooth and you can go down or up 19, 23 to adjust ratio if needed. It runs a 32 tooth up front.

Excited to see their AM offering. Although I probably won't be able to afford it.

This has me thinking outside the boundaries of my wallet. I really hope this gearbox trend takes off. I've had it out with every one of my derailleurs.
