nhl.com reports Raffi chooses in person hearing.

    http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=670839&cmpid=nhl-twt

In my opinion the hit was just playoff hockey for any other player with a clean track record. Raffi's past is haunting himself and the Sharks on this one. Reports are stating he is likely out for game 2. I think his role is vital to the Sharks success.

    1. Pretty sure Raffi is preparing for the inevitible...
(Would love to be at his sit down meeting with Shanahan)

    2. He is a dirty player. He is a repeat offender. He is a head hunter. The man was given a 25 game suspension (zero chance he will ever get the benefit of the doubt after a 25 game suspension).

    3. I have zero respect for Raffi Torres!
He is extremely talented. He wants to win. He is a hard worker. I absolutely love watching him play (clean)... Unfortunately, he makes extremely poor decisions while on the ice. Those choices adversely affect his team(s) time and time again! (end of mini-rant)

    4. The Kings are the better team.
I love the way they control the ice (hits, crisp passes, solid defense etc.)

    5. I juuuuuuust gave-up my Game 2 ticket!!! :(
    (Sick to my stomach...)

    GKG!

Tuesdays game was the first time I honestly felt like I could look back and say without a doubt, they played a full 60! Their breakouts were excellent and they were able to get some good flow and cycling going! Can't wait for tonights game!

I am also awaiting the verdict on Torres. Like Dino said, he is a competitor, and when he doesn't make poor choices, he is a very solid player out there!

To bad they didn't give him a suspension for the rest of the playoff. Once the Kings lose I don't want him headhunting my Hawks again like last year.

What an amazing night of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey. Gotta say the Kings might have gotten away with one tonight. Yet another reason why you should never leave a game early.

dont sleep on the champs. the mark of a championship team is when you squeek out/ steal wins when you didnt deserve it or didnt atleast bring your A game. the depth shined tonight. this Toffolli kid is the real deal. he brought some energy tonight! quick again was amazing. so sound.

    Adding insult to injury:
I'm at Roscoe's watching the game (post Loop Ride. with Thomas, Gabe, Rumpled etc.).
    I received a four-word picture text.

    "wish... you... were... here." :(
    [IMG]

Two minutes later, the Kings tied the game! Twenty minutes after the first text, I received a second text. All it said was, "GREAT GAME!!!" I was pleased with the victory. Not so happy I missed a Playoff game (passed on a Finals game last year). Not so happy THREE exclamation points were added to the end of the second text (burned like alcohol on an open wound) :(

The person responsible for my passing on both games.... Fullerton Mike!!!
(Evil man.... I feel better now) :)

i agree. what a beast. hockey players are tough SOBs! Beachemin of the ducks tore his acl in game 2 and played th next 5 games without telling anyone, then once eliminated gets surgery the next day. the toughest players of any sport!

Too bad about the Kings loss last night but if any team can come back 2 games down it would be the kings. I am really hoping for a Bruins Kings Stanley Cup!!

Frankly, the Kings didn't play well this series and couldn't win on the road at all during this entire run, but at least during this game, they went down swinging after allowing 2 really bad goals in the 1st period..., nice comeback.

I gotta admit, that was a classic 2 on 1 rush, cross-ice pass, hard slap shot with the goalie going across the crease..., BOOOOM, biscuit in the basket for a hat trick! I mean, how mant times has that happened, all time?!?

I'm now routing for Boston to win it. BOSTON STRONG!!! TILL NEXT YEAR..., GO KINGS GO!!!
