Although I am bitter about the whole lock out, I must admit that I'm super stoked to have the NHL back tomorrow. Kings vs. Blackhawk tomorrow at noon...can't wait!
So where's all of the action on this thread? Ducks are playing out of their heads (as much as that kills me). The Kings are coming around (and last night's game was wildly great) to look more like last year's giant killers, which of course brings us to the 'Hawks... wow. GKG
Ef the NHL! I will no longer give my money to these a-holes (owners and players alike). They want to compare themselves to the NFL/NBA/MLB, but they're not that, they have a hard time pulling the # MLS gets in America...and nobody knows who they are either! As much as I love the sport, I'm done with the dumb a**es. Rant over, have a nice day!
GO REDWINGS!!!!! Went to my first game in 1992 and loved it! I just have a hard time with these knuckleheads and their thought process on how big a market they THINK they have. Hell...this isn't a season...48 games...WTF!
Back in the 30's and 40's, NHL regular seasons were in fact, 48 games. The league slowly kept adding more games over the years to eventually end up at the current 82 game mark (which some argue is too many games). I hated the lockout as much as most people, but I still enjoy seeing NHL level hockey and have season seats to the Kings. I've been a fan since my pops took me to my first game at the Fabulous Forum in 1984.

Yep, I will be there in the 4th row with my Blackhawks Jersey on watching the ducsk get plucked. Go Hawks.
This impacted schedule is pretty damn cool.... it becomes a more strategic game since do you keep the pressure up or let your top line rest up so you dont get fatigue.... GO KINGS
how did that work out for you? regardless of the 1 point lead(hawks have one game at hand also) ducks have beat you BOTH times this year. we are #1 right now!
Saw Makoto at Monday nights Kings / Coyotes game... -Not only was he NOT wearing his Kings jersey (on jersey retirement night), he was sitting with his brother-in-law (who is from Phoenix... Loyal Coyotes fan). Double foul!!!#-o The Kings are looking good. They are playing hard. Their goalies have stepped it up. Muzzin is surprising a few people. (I hate Shane Doan... Muzzin did nothing wrong-> the knee to knee incident) Any news with regard to Green and Mitchell? LA fans: I kinda' miss the days when loyal fans didn't have to share our team with the rest of LA.. With that said, I am TOTALLY stoked by the energy newer / less loyal fans have brought to the arena! (Really good to share the arena with the new guys). No doubt these people are loyal / permanent fans- not fair weather fans!! Awesome! With regard to the Ducks / Blackhawks... No doubt the Ducks are the #1 team in the NHL right now. All I can do is laugh when the guys from NHL Network try to explain us viewers why Chicago should be the #1 rated team (they are indeed a VERY good team.... Many of their victories have been either last second victories or tight games... The Ducks, on the other hand, have been winning handily over most teams). Note: I absolutely despise the Ducks. It truly pains me to say anything nice about them. Must be honest!
I am going to see the Ducks against the Red Wings tomorrow. I am a big fan of the Canadiens. Is it inappropriate to wear your team jersey if they are not playing? I have seen people do it at games and always thought it was just odd. What's the opinion of the real fans? BTW, Montreal is playing strong this year...
Not 100% sure but I believe it's a jersey foul. Look it up from puck daddy on yahoo. I'd hold off until next season when the realignment kicks in and we get to see every team come to town.
My first thought usually is, "Really? Are they that much of a dick to wear another teams jersey that isn't even playing?" But hey, it's their jersey and their ticket, not mine.
