    You weigh yourself at home and submit it to the spreadsheet that will have a link very soon.

    I'm freakin excited about this!!! Last years group rides were super fun.

    Good luck everyone! I highly recommend the South Beach Diet - last year I weighed 240 pounds and now I'm down to 209. I highly recommend this diet to anyone - it basically involves stabilizing blood sugar levels to reduce cravings. If anyone has diabetes, or has a family history of it, this is the ideal plan to follow as well.

    Of course, get plenty of MTB rides. Maximize calories burned by hitting the climbing trails (Maple Springs, Harding, etc.)! :bang:

    If you have time, hit the gym to increase muscle mass (1 pound extra muscle mass increases resting metabolic rate to burn 50 more calories). My 2 cents, at least... :wave:

    Square Dad Fat Pants (that'a me) is in. Thanks Dino!

    May be able to entice some other Dirtbags along for the ride(s) too. I would be happy to lead some rides out this way (n/w LA county, Ventura county region).

    Just need to know the nature of the rides as I have not participated in past WLC rides. What is a good ride length (miles/elevation/duration). We have lots of variety up this way so I can likely tailor some rides to fit whatever scenario works best, or try a few different things.

    I'm in! I haven't been on an STR ride, yet, but any rides with fellow "losers" sounds like fun! Ok, and dumb question: what is a WLC ride (stands for ___ )? Thanks for coordinating, Dino, whoever you are!

    My opinion: 10-20 mile rides. Intermediate level. Trails with bailouts or shortcuts are a plus! Not tooooooo much climbing (unless the ride posted is an ADVANCED level ride).

    Westside trail options::
    Cheseboro, Los Robles, Pt. Mugu, Tapia... Will Rogers to Sullivan Canyon etc.

    OC trail options:
    Aliso, Blackstar, Fullerton Mega Loop, Luge, San Juan, Santiago Oaks, Whiting etc.

    *WLC = Weight Loss Challenge
    *Dino = Loud mouth moron (you'll see)

    *You will have a ton of fun at these rides! You will meet a lot of cool people!
    Brotherhood.. Friendship.. Support... That's what it's all about!

    Is there a good place to go to get a diet for someone trying to lose weight who is also active, dare I say an athlete?
