    I am in for the challenge.

    I wont be able to attend any rides, as it is quite a long drive for me - but I was down in STR land for my first Counting Coup some weeks back - and need to start dropping the lbs now so that I can do Vision Quest next year.

    I'm in and feel pretty good about my chances of winning. I'm currently tipping the scales at 285 lbs. and hope to be over 3 bills by May. Target end-goal is 195 lbs. Crazier things have happened. Just pay me now, suckas!

    I'll take one for the team and volunteer to be the treasurer.

    1. Participants are expected *NOT REQUIRED* to attend (1) STR ride

    2. If a participant can't make it- they can't make it!
    3. There are exceptions to every rule...
    4. If a person prefers solo rides- no problem
    5. If a participant chooses to post a ride in their area (at a time that works for them)... :clap:

    6. My reasons for "pressuring" the masses (i.e. the majority who are able to attend):
    *Keep them motivated (#1 complaint from past competition)
    *Improve chances of success
    *Great way to meet people (i.e. improve chances of success)
    *Strength in numbers
    *Posted rides draw people
    *Etc. Etc. Etc.

    I promise to do my part (i.e. posting regular Fully/Santa Monica/Turnbull rides)
    Hopefully others will do the same!

    Paging Fatguy1.... I'm bringing the pain! :wave:

    This sounds like a good idea. Considering I still haven't had time to find any riding in San D, I need a motivator. I'm at a roly-poly 225. My race weight is freakin 165.

    Lesse, how much would liposuction cost... minus the $ in the pot... hmmm

    I have wavered from 280 to 240lbs in the last few years. Up to 260lbs now, and working hard to just stay the same.

    How about this idea. Let's have a money pool going. But let's do something different instead of the typical $10/person, winner take all. How about 10 people commit to giving $550 to charity. The person losing the most amount of weight commits $10. The person losing the second most commits $20, then $30, all the way to $100 for the biggest non-loser. Then, you have $550 that gets lumped up to the MS society or something. Just a thought.

    Every time I see the commercial for that new laser treatment I look at my belly and sometimes I actually entertain the idea.
