....I was just thinking, this would be a good time to quit smoking too (again). Wtf, I really need to make some changes, upgrades if you will, to this beat up old body.

I'm pretty pumped up about this!

I officially started tapering off of the frozen yogurt.

I like the Idea of the start/finish race being the same place same distance. Just remember that on the 1st some of us might be in Idyllwild.

What were we thinking about the when and where of the ride?

Okay, I'm in, but I have to do this all virtually as I can't make most of the rides (kids and family keep me busy when most are available to ride). If that's a problem, I can just do it for fun :)

Tara, I'm up for doing it long term! I look forward to the recipes, I LOVED that pulled-chicken recipe!

    1. I can explain!
    2. Busting (MY) chops is the easiest way to make friends on STR :)

1."Competitors are expected not required to attend at least (1) STR Ride..."
    2. Even busy people have time to attend (1) ride
    3. If a person is TRULY unable to join-in on the fun (even once), I assure they won't be disqualified

    4. The purpose of the rides are to keep competitors motivated
    5. Only a few of the rides will be organized...
If "a busy person" wants to post an Aliso (Oaks, Cheseboro, Fully, Marshall Canyon) Ride, they'll be doing everyone a favor!

Best of luck to all of the competitors

Okay, pretty sure I won't do it now, actually. I lost a bit of weight the past two weeks, and I don't know how much more I'm really motivated to lose....

    Good luck everyone.

Most Tuesdays Ashlie has VBall practice or her cycling training. I have been able to get a carpool ride in a few times, but have to be in HB to pick her up no later than 8pm (so I'd have to finish the Peter's Canyon ride by about 7pm). Wednesdays is the Velodrome, sometimes followed by VBall. Thursday is another VBall evening/night. Friday is either Velodrome practice or VBall. This Saturday is a race at ADT, first Communion for one of my sisters, family dinner, and driving Ash to one of her best friend's birthday parties. So, I'd have time to ride from 0800-11am (most of the STR rides I've attended are pleasant and leisurely rides, not on the tight schedule that I need to get everything done). This Saturday isn't too bad, next Saturday we have the state championship crit in San Diego and a VBall tourny. Sundays are almost always a race, Juniors usually race first thing--the good news is that I can sneak in my own race at most of these, so I do get to ride. Monday is Velodrome or VBall, or (hopefully) a nice evening in to have a calm, quiet dinner together.

My point is merely that I would appreciate it if you please don't judge/say "Even busy people can attend one ride", my priority is my daughter. Unless, of course, you also offer a morning/early riser/before work ride on Tues/Thurs (I work on Mon/Wed/Fri, starting at 0500). Thank you. :)

    IN!
But, I am in San Diego and my work schedule is crazy at the moment. I have been procastinating on a serious weight shed for about 5 months now. I will do my best to attend the rides if they are not to far away from here.

I'd be in for $10 for the first 2 months then more to keep it going.
I need to get from where I'm at now (210) to my fighting weight of 185 by the beginning of September for my wedding.
