It was Canada Pride night and a fair number of Maple Leaf jerseys and Team Canada Olympic jerseys around Staples Center.

First period the Leafs were stinking up the joint, but they came out blazing in second period, 2 quick goals!! Yay, wave the flag!

Okay, so the Leafs are solidly mediocre, or worse, which doesn't say much for the Kings these days! After the game, Q and A session upstairs with Mr. Grumpy Brian Burke and Nice Guy Ryan Smith. They both think the Vancouver Canucks are currently the best team. Free souvenir puck: priceless!

i watched that game last night. they did come out strong in the 3rd after playing a mediocre 2nd! all those "fights" were rad, seems like the new trend these days has been too much holding on to the sleeves of your opponent. i miss the days of when they'dd just lock on and flail away!

I know the Kings are playing bad lately...really bad, but getting booed off the ice????? I expected more from the fans, aren't we used to this by now?

We caught the 2nd half of the game last night after jetting over from Toyota Center. My boy said it pretty well: "it's like they're just flicking boogers at Halak". No scrappy play (against a very scrappy team), no composure with the puck, no confidence to even hold onto the puck. And IMO the Blues played an abysmal 3rd..turn over after turn over after...

Not that anyone wants to hear it, but you can see where the boos are coming from. One more at home, but maybe getting on the road will be a good thing for the Kings. Let's hope so.

There was no hustle in the neutral zone in the 3rd. Kopi and Williams turned it up at the end, but too little to late

One more at home against one of the worst teams in the league. I hope they can get a win out of it.

Okay...I've been biting my tongue on this thread for a few weeks. Man has it been a hard couple weeks to be a Kings fan? I, like so many other sports team fans, become so critical when my team slumps. I hope we make a good push in the second half of this season. I know Murray is a defense first coach, but I would love to see some more consistent offense at some point.

    Straybullit, that avatar is great.

Guero, where do you play? I'm playing (at the Staples Center) after the Kings game on Thursday. Perhaps our paths will cross.

I am comforted knowing that I am not the only King's fan suffering. It has been a torturous few weeks.
Does anyone want a rather large paper weight?

last night's game was painful! that first goal was such b.s., but other than that, the king's were pretty lackluster the entire 2nd and 3rd period.

i play out of lakewood glacial gardens, sunday night mens league, level 3.

im looking to join a mid-week roller league if anyone needs a player.

here are a few pix from our skate before the kings game, im number 74.

Yep, basically like every season. Maybe make it to to post season with a streaky second half, but I've lost confidence that they'll go very far playing as inconsistantly as they are now.

I used to play hockey and was pretty good, but I stopped growing and just got plowed over every time I touched the puck. 5'9" and 150lbs does not make a good hockey player.

There is a new hockey specific store in Los Alamitos, near the racetrack. Pretty good sized. I don't know how the prices are.

I second that. This is about the time I really start paying attention to hockey......after the Superbowl. I can't wait till the playoffs start. Hockey playoffs rule! I wonder what seed the Ducks will be this year....;)
