Anyone going to the game tonight? With the injuries to Ponikarovsky and Mitchell, the Kings will need a few guys to really step up, especially on the PK.

What's up with the Kings schedule? Seems like they are either playing every night or having three day breaks between their game.

    Poor Ilya Kovalchuk...

Ya' think the "Hundred Million Dollar" man is kicking himself for choosing the (last place) Devils over of the (first place) Kings? :-k

Devils GM Lou Lamorello put on suicide watch:
"I just called Gary [Bettman] after the game and asked him if we could just put a bullet in this thing, this season," said Lamoriello.
"I mean, I did the numbers on my calculator after he [Kovalchuk] lost [the puck] and figured out we just paid him $2,567 dollars to skate out there and lose the puck. That's just unbelievable."

"That's what I'm asking [the NHL]. We just want to forfeit the season, shut down, and pretend everything that happened after last season didn't happen,"
    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...t-to-forfeit-season-kovalchuk-contract-satire

    Note: Satirical quotes!
Author was making a point (the Devils destroyed their franchise)

Very happy he's not our problem!
Even happier we did not have to get rid of our "Young Guns" in order to pay for him!

Weird. The Ducks are only two points away from the Kings. How the heck did that happen?

A wise person recently said that it was too early in the season to worry about standings....oh wait that wise man was you...

And don't forget to account for the amount of games each team has played (I really hope this comment doesn't bite me in the a$$)

Rough night for the Flyers and their fans tonight...the West is ruthless this season.

Saturday was a tough loss for the Kings. The Kings outplayed the Wild, but Quick made those huge mistakes and lost the game. I hope it doesn't get in his head too much.

Matt Greene was interviewed after the game and I thought he was spot on. He said Quick had bailed them out numerous times this season, and we had the chance to bail him out tonight and we didn't. Also, he said he was disappointed in the way the crowd reacted to Quick's play(s). Don't get me wrong, I think Quick botched the plays and that the Kings outplayed the Wild; however, I like Matt's ability to articulate that point...especially right after the frustrating loss. Now I understand how everyone dispelled the rumors that Greene was on the trading block. He's a huge presence in the locker room and his ability to speak to the media are big assets.

Quick has definitely bailed them out a few times this season, even a few times in that game. If you watch the highlights, he made some huge saves. I really like Quick, I was just saying I hope he has the mental toughness to put it past him and kick ass tonight.

I guess shutting out the Red wings with 51 saves would qualify as kicking ass!

To reply to your earlier thought, I guess that last game did get in Quick's head and what a response! That was a ridiculous game in net for Quick.

I have 2 tickets for the Kings/Sharks game on Jan 1st, they are $100 seats just above the glass on the blue line. I need to sell/trade them so I can get 4 seats for my family. If anyone has 4 season tickets higher up and wants to trade for some excellent seats let me know, or I'll sell them for a reasonable price so I can buy 4 seats.

Actually, that game scared me a lot. If it wasn't for JQ, the Kings would have been slaughtered! Poor defense for sure. However, a win is a win. Crazy how the Red Wings have lost their last 4 to the Kings.

My two favorite teams are the Kings and any team playing the Ducks. F the Ducks, F Ducks fans too.
