I'm going to do the volunteer thing for VQ...Nothing like supporting my fellow riders while they give their souls to fire roads..:bang:

I'm ready and have been waiting since March to do this. I will not be sick this time!

Willie, you keep riding the way you do and you should do fine.

I changed it Traci, but it still has you listed as none.

I've ridden with most of you and I know that you all will do well. Training is key for these endurance events. I will post some rides starting in Nov. Here are some of the variations I have in mind.

These rides are loops, no shuttle needed
    1) Black Star to Motorway(1st cutoff)
    2) Holy Jim to Trabuco(Toad Course), then up West Horse Thief and back over to Holy Jim.
    3) Harding to Motorway, then up Maple springs to 4 Corners and back down Harding.
    4) Maple Springs to 4 Corners(2nd cutoff), then over to Motorway.

    Shuttle rides
    5) Maple Springs to Holy Jim, up WHT then down Trabuco.
    6) Counting Coup pre run
    7) VQ pre run

There will be other training rides. Support will be needed for some of these training rides. Let me know if anyone is interested in doing any or all of these rides or just helping with support. Thanks, See you all on the "PAIN DIVIDE" ;)

    I'm

not even going to jinx myself by saying until I have a registration in my hands. Missed it 2 years running. Made the Traverse this year, but this is the one.

Sounds like a fun way to spend the day!

Can I bring my bike up with me so I can ride down? That would be sweet. Shuttling part of VQ/CC!

I'm really undecided on this. If I do it, it will be VQ. For me the training rides just sucked last year. Riding boring fire road after boring fire road. IF I sign up, training will be on long, challenging loops with minimal fire road. I swear I will never ride Blackstar to Motorway again ;)

Threepeat the VQ. I've gone SS, FS, back to SS (I think).

The VQ, so easy a caveman can do it? Yikes!

VQ for me - the Traverse didn't kill me, figure i might as well see if VQ can!

Seriously though, knowing how to train now instead of just kinda going for it like I did with the traverse, i'm thinking it's plenty do-able. Just lots of training rides this fall and winter...and maybe building something else for the race...actually really looking foreword to it!

    I'm too lazy.

If they'd add some shuttles before the fun descents, I may be interested, though.
