Ive been meaning to build myself a work stand. The only thing stopping me was the lack of welding skills to fabricate a Vise/Clamp. Looking for vintage bikes on CL today, this came up. $ 20 bucks and 20 miles of driving. SCORE!

The clamp works perfectly. The spring is rusted, nothing serious. The stand finish is sun baked and weathered from being stored outside. I all I need to do is clean it up and wire brush the spring. I sprayed all the pivots, hinges and spring with Corrosion X for now. Gonna mess with it tomorrow.

I'm so stoked that I might restore the whole thing and repaint it.

you should just leave it as is, except for making the levers functional and springs work. lots of people have a shiny blue park in their garage, way cooler to have a workstand that's been beat in my opinion.

Bummer, I thought this would be a thread on how to make one for under $20.
