I found a advertisement card at the Rock'n'Road counter today that led me to this website. http://www.teamepinephrine.com/12hour/12hour.html

I've been wanting to try one of these things for a couple months now. With all this rain i don't know if i'll be able to get in shape fast enough so I don't think I'll do this one. Maybe just sign up and do a couple of laps throughout the day or something (there is a 70 entry fee though #-o ). Has anyone else done these types of events? Are there a lot of hardcore racers or is it pretty laid back? I think it'd be cool to just hang out with a bunch of mountainbikers and have fun but I don't want to get in anybody's way whose trying to compete.

I've never heard of the flying B ranch but it sounds really cool. Is it like a mtb park or something?

Flying B has some sweet trails.

Go have fun , ride some, drink some brews , hang out. Let faster riders pass and all will be cool.

How about counting coup or vision quest. Anyone doing either of these this year?

Only if it rains alot the week before the event. Last year it rained about 1 1/2 weeks before the event. Still went on. Blackstar was a mess, there was snow on backside of Santiago Peak and the dirt road out of Trabucco was a 4 mile mud pit.

The laps are about 8 miles long. Each lap has about 1600' of climbing. 40% frieroad/60% singletrack.

    Registration closed earlier this week.

So far only total of 64 teams signed up.
