120mm fork on a hardtail = catastrophic failure?

    BTW Are you running drop bars?? If so, why would you want to run drop bars on a MTB with a 120mm fork?

    I want to say that you'll be fine. My buddy has a 120mm fork on his hardrock which some came w/ a 80mm and others came with a 100mm. He's been on his 120mm talas for over a year now and LOVES it. He bombs decent all the time and he still has all his teeth so i think you'll be fine as long as you keep your riding tamed and dont start dropping off second floor of buildings.

    I had the drop bars set up on the bike with the rigid fork. I am currently running the Titec H-bar and loving it. Great for the climbs and stable on the decents. I have been running rigid so long that I forgot what a suspension fork is like.
