I was out there with my 4 man Team (High Gear) for the 7th time in row. This was by far the best course ever. This clydes actually stayed on the bike through the entire course all 3 laps. I know... just 3 laps. Don't know how some of you do 10+ laps, or even 6.

Another poster commented on the intensity in the 4 man class. I think spots 3 thru 7 were separated by minutes all day. The teams in the first two places were laying down 38 - 40 minute laps consistently. Not bad considering the fastest lap of the day was 37.

I pre road the course the weekend before at 52 minutes so I was stoked when my first lap finished at 47:45 or so. My team mates were posting 45:30 to 46:30 so I was the slow guy. We managed to post 14 laps in about 11:40. Didn't stay for the awards but I think we ended up in 6th or 7th out of 20. For our team we performed strong. In past races this would have been good for 2nd or 3rd but this race is gaining popularity, and gaining faster riders.

Cheers to Jason for an awesome course and awesome event. :drunk: And the up to date scoring was great.

great race report! I love these races I have done them on 4 and 3 man teams now I think I'm going for Solo.

Tinker the is the man! I rode with him for a mins at the 24hrs @ Moab we were on a fire road and I took a couple pulls in a pace line we had going with another PRO I was working my ASS off just to hang on after each pull and after 3 pulls I popped off he said thanks for the wheel and wished me well cool guy!

Jason usually posts up links in a few days. He actually has what looks like a link to the November 2008 pics on his SoCal Endurance page, but it is a dead link (doesn't go anywhere at all).

In the past the Bourne brothers (Troy and David) from egofoto.com have done some shooting, but the last I see on their website was last Jan's race at Vail...

Give it a few days and then pop off a note to Jason to see what's what.

    Hey Guys Links and results

The links for Photos will be up as soon as my uncle gets all the photos downloaded and sorted. takes a little time. The results should be up by noon. Just talked with Doug at Geoladders and he said noonish.

My fave glasses of the day (I kept seeing this guy!) -- this time on the climb above Bridges.

A couple of allison trudging up those hills (note the walker behind her -- but 'walking' just ain't in this girl's vocabulary!!).

Like the action of this one, though I could have done better on the focus. Zoom!

ChrisB attacking the climb, but giving me the thumbs up as he does so.

dubjay on one of his many, many laps.

Unknown rider. Just liked the shot.

Unkown ride... OH WAIT! That's 1x1Clyde!!! He came up on me so fast on the ridge I barely had time to grab my cam and reel this one off. So, a bit of bad framing, but there you go. Howdy, Neil!!!

After sitting on the ridge above Bridges for a while (after I let Willie get back into the race with his now fixed cleat...), I thought I had better get rolling or I would miss him. I found a little lefty turn off that was cordoned off that took me down one of Rob's switchback trails down to Tunnel of Love. I zoomed down it and set up to take pics, waiting for Willie to come by. It didn't take long...

Here's hoser with his feather-festooned helmet atop his Moment in Tunnel of Love.

A moment later (no pun intended) Willie whisked over the bridge in Tunnel aboard his Epiphany, hot on the heels of hoser.

I raced down Tunnel after Willie (I love that bit of non-ridgeline ST!!) and cut across to the BMX park to catch another shot of my boy (I know... lots of pics of my kid in here -- bear with me, please)

Willie on the second BMX whoops. Lookin's like he's having a good time! Woot!

An in-the-pits shot of jonathan_sykes81 as he waited for his partner hoser to get in. It was good meeting you Darryl!

Another shot of Willie, heading out for another lap.

Can't tell who anyone is here, and it is not really well shot, but I liked the movement. Looks like a race!

Finally, another evening sun ridgeline shot to close out this bunch of pics. Enjoy!

Thanks. Wished I had hit a bit better focus on you -- but you were just moving way too fast Weyland!!! :bang:

It was fun laying around in the dirt waiting to scare you guys. Some folks will do anything to get a shot.

    - shud

P.S. I'll keep posting pics as I have time to work them up. Loads of folks have PM'ed me asking if I got shots of them, and if I find any I will work them up and post them in here, as long as no one minds. I still want to hear more RRs from falks in the race...

Yeah, they're all messed up. I wrote them a note. Could be they got bad data, or...

For one thing, both Tinker and Dez rode for 15 laps, not 14.

There's a ton of other errors as well -- Willie's competition did not roll 17 laps. Sheesh.

Thanks for posting up the results. Looks like Chris and I took last place in 2 person open (Team Cows). Funny though our times were faster than the team above us??

I'm actually very stoked the corrections were made for me aka the "Total Package" in Mens Solo SS!
    10 laps and squeaked out a 4th!!!!
There was some confusion because Greg C, Weyland and I pretty much rode together so I was a bit miffed at where I lost a lap SO I guess I did not !!

    Michael, killer pix as always:bang:
