I did the course today, nice and flowing, Really only one long grind. I don't know all the names of the trails, but the long grind is the single track climb with a lot of switch backs, then once at the top a little more climbing. Fun course!!!! Lots of quick ups and downs!

Here's how I understand the names of the trails are, correct me if I'm wrong and I'm not sure which one is Vics. (edited, with corrections to map)

Matt...I think Vic's is #3, and BMX is actually #2...I do not know the names of #1 or the connector to the slalom...but hey after a couple of years I still learning new trail names all the time...

Either way Jason puts on a great event and is always fun...It sounds like the new course may be a bit faster!

Actually Vics is #2 and BMX is #3. The last out is actually the route back out to the Military loop but its cut short. Actually the return on that last out may be new. I don't ever remember doing switchbacks down to the finish.

The MVMG will have 4 teams racing on the 4th. ..Always look forward to Jason's 12 hr. events. They're always very well organized, and a hell of a lot of fun. This one in particular because unlike the last 2, we won't be freezing our personals off at the raffle at 9:30pm (which is worth freezing your personals off). Can't wait!

Thanks Glen and Olis, I fixed the map above, does anyone know the name of the single track that is after Slingshot? and yes those switchbacks are new at the end with a gnarly little climb right before them as Allison mentioned.

If you mean the one on the opposite of the fireroad that takes you out and back, I don't think it has a name.

I have no clue, we've never been out there. I'll have a blue quick shade and a couple flags flying from it.

I raced it I think in January of 2009 (wow, that long ago??) when Bridges was the first climb... it actually wasn't too bad. It'll spread out a bit heading up Marine Corps and down, but for sure there will be people held up, but everyone keeps moving pretty well. Don't get frustrated, just go with it. Long day. Expect to be toe-tapping/track-standing, or HABing a bit on lap one :)
