I am really looking forward to this event. Great venue, cool vibe, and fun trails! I'll be racing on a 2-person team in the Bike for Bender category.

I did it solo a couple of years ago and my goal was 8 laps too. I believe it was about 80 miles total. Pace yourself, eat and drink regularly and pace yourself.

I am going solo, again. Hoping for 26 laps, but something tells me that estimate is a little too high. If I get in 8, I will be more than happy!

The course will be very well marked and very difficult to get lost. If this is your first time for one of Jason's event you will see when you get out there. Jason and his team do a very good job of marking the route. No GPS, map, or route sheet needed.

I think he was asking if the course is marked now though which I'm guessing the answer is no since is still a ways away.

Hey Guys The course will not be fully marked until the weekend before the race. Although I did put the GPS file up for the Nov 13th course today, Here's a link:
    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/52650797
    More news coming!
I rode the course today and it is riding fast and fun! It is basically the classic course with a few tweeks!

    Jason,

Thanks for putting that up. So what I'm seeing is Damn Climb up, Entire back of course on the original fireroad/double track (i.e. no single track, switchbacks etc), then down a ridgeline (not sure which one that is), out that quick single track loop we've done a few times now, then up ambulance, tunnel of love, BMX and military loop. Is that right? That is a pretty classic course, I agree.

Just signed up in the Solo Sport Class. Can't wait. I just picked up some new shoes, Specialized Pro, from the Path and got a new saddle, both of which are killing me with my current set up. Really hope these two new items help while trying to knock out 9 laps. Looking to try out Infinit Nutrition at this event. I hope I get some time before the event to properly test it out before the big day.

Jason, Any chance you can add back the singletrack ridge section after the Damn Climb and before the ridge descent? That was a lot of fun and required a bit of technical skill. That section really came alive at night!

    - Olis 1 - damn climb, backside fireroads, funner downhill 1, small connector ridgeline, ambulance climb, tunnel of love, (straight across ) BMX, marine corp, down steep near go cart track, back on road home

    - hobie - actual elevation gain bout 1200. I had 2 garmins running at the same time and this is the one that would sync up easier.

Maven - sorry mate, for this race I wanna keep it fast and fun. championship round and some folks will be pushing hard to pull a few extra laps.

The January race will be a techy hoot!!! completely new sections on parts of the course!

Nope we stay on the fireroad to the right both times! We just used it this way for the 50 miler and it worked great. Still very challenging, fast, and fun! This is the original course from the very first time we ran the 12 Hour!

Yep, remember it well Jason. This course will be fast. Probably 4 minutes faster on average then last November so it will let most teams get that extra lap in. Should be exciting.
