Here we go, getting ready for the biggest Mtn bike event in SoCal for the end of 2011. The
"12 Hours Of Temecula #3" series final and Championships is shaping up to be one of the biggest Cycling events in SoCal. The championships are heating up with major battles in many of the categories. Looks like some big hitters are heading into town to take Tinker and Daniel Munoz outta thier game plans. Gonna be great competition. The course is set and ready for the racers to show what they got!
We will also have one of the biggest Bike expos's and demo's SoCal Has ever seen. At this time it looks like we'll have over 25 venders in place to show off the latest and greatest bikes and equipment. I am expecting to have 30+ venders by race day!
This is going to be a great race to be a part of. Whether your a beginner or a seasoned pro, this will be a memory to last a lifetime!
Each race is a stand alone event. There are prizes for the top 5 in each category. The winner of the 3 race series will win a jersey and be crowned So Cal Endurance CHAMPIONS!

Woot Woot! My favorite races of the year. Sometimes I wish there were more than just 3 races in the series.

I know several 1st-timers are coming out to try both the 6-hour and 12-hour versions...and if I can ride, I'll always be there.

So "stand alone event" means no teams?

Hard to imagine even more riders than last time. It got pretty busy and congested in spots, especially early in the race. Unfortunately I'll be out of country for this one, but are there going to be any limits on the number of riders allowed to register at future races?

It means you can race #3 without having raced #1 or #2, and still be up for an award.

    stand alone /= solo

Brownie you can count me in as long as I can get a ride. I don't think my pos car will make it there.

Looks like I have to coach our last soccer game at 12:30 on the other side of town. So I'll get in a couple hot laps, then coach, then ride till the end.
I'll be blowing some speed limits on the back roads that day damn it.

I'm trying to make it but just got told by the boss that it's unlikely she'll give me the day off! Still gonna put in for it and make her put in on paper. Damn work projects. This would've (and still may be) been my first attempt at a 12 hour race....and a solo attempt at that....despite my brother-in-law's encouraging "really!? Solo? You know there's a 6 hour race to." lol We'll see how the work thing works out. If I miss it, there is always January!
