To be honest the old ones even if they were pink looked better IMO. I was pretty shocked when I saw the pics.

Yes it is. That was the closest all day, but its not as close as it looks.

Didnt go through all your pictures, hope it wasnt in a lot of your shots. I try to stand out of the way of other photogs, forgot about the flash being in other pictures. Ill see if I can hide it away next race.

Ill keep my eye out for you in 2 weeks. I love my new camera, its great

This picture is great. I wanted to get the berm shots this weekend, but didnt want to risk the camera in all the dust for the whole race.

 

Sat: Got to Fontucky around noon, waited in a long line to register and finally got on a shuttle truck around 1. First run down was a cruising speed to see what the course was all about. First impressions was WOW, great course...but the offcamber/rocky/dusty shoot has me a bit worried. 2nd run down stop at the shoot to check out what other people were doing and resulted in everyone is everywhere. Tried to take a line I had picked, and got through okay. Wasn't happy, so on the 3rd just decided to ride it through and figure out that I would adjust to whatever line I end up going through. Work out great and moved on.

Sun: Got to Fontucy around 8 and got 2 practice runs in with the same method and felt decent. Waited for my race run and for some reason got restless and then tired.

Race run: Started with a big push, and after the second split, felt fatigued and got to the offcamber/rocky/dusty area, took my normal line, but my rear tire slid out which cause me to fall on my side.

Got back up and down the shoot and continued on my conservative run. Got to the lower rockgarden, and heard screaming at the bottom so I tried to pedal out (what better way to make you pedal than a bunch of friends shouting at you to pedal and trying to get as far away as fast as possible from Dustins a$$).:beer:


As I was pedaling through the "wall" I relized that my mind was telling me to stand up and pedal (which I thought I was doing:? until I looked down and noticed I was sitting down.haha:lol:
Don't know what it was but i was dead tired. Got to the finish line and I had to sit down.

All and all fun weekend! I got to beat everyone in my team/group of friends I ride with (everyone took a spill#-o). I ended up 15th out of the 22 riders in the N class (Damn all those kids that turned 27 this year:-k). I though i was going to be worse, but i guess the others probably crashed harder or more times than I did.

Great seeing everyone! See you in 2 weeks!
